Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader to guide the firm’s environmental data management practice nationally. You will establish scalable, defensible workflows across ESG programs, lead EQuIS platform initiatives, ensure data quality, and drive analytics-enabled project delivery.

You will mentor staff, develop governance standards, and coordinate with GIS, analytics, and field data teams to elevate data management across projects and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years of related experience; domestic/international travel may be required.
• Experience with environmental data management, data validation, QA/QC, and analytics.
• Strong knowledge of EQuIS, data governance, and dashboarding with Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs.
• Develop data governance frameworks, SOPs, templates, and guidance documents.
• Lead EQuIS-based data management, including loading, validation, and reporting.
• Oversee defensible data validation workflows and QA/QC strategies.
• Support project startup with data management requirements and SAP/QAPP awareness.
• Coordinate with analytics, GIS, and digital teams on dashboards and analytics.
• Advance field data acquisition tools and automation for real-time data delivery.
• Mentor staff and build a sustainable data management practice.
