Job summary

State of Florida in Tallahassee is seeking a Program Administrator for the Watershed Services Program (WSP) within DEP’s Division of Environmental Assessment and Restoration. The role provides geospatial data management, analyses, and support to DEP and the public through GIS and WIN sections.

You will supervise multiple staff, oversee data repositories and GIS contracts, coordinate IT initiatives, and ensure compliance with DEP rules while enabling public access to environmental data.

Qualifications

• Ten years of verifiable related experience in engineering, environmental science, or related fields.
• At least two years of supervisory/lead experience or completed leadership training.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage DEAR GIS data layers and Florida Hydrography Dataset.
• Oversee data management and GIS contracts for DEAR/DEP projects.
• Coordinate IT initiatives and environmental data systems development.
• Supervise two Environmental Administrator staff and eleven technical staff.
• Ensure data repositories and GIS systems support DEP programs and public access.
