Job summary

ERG’s Environmental and Occupational Health Group seeks an early career professional to join a multi-disciplinary team to support clean energy grant programs and sustainability projects. You will manage large datasets, assist applicants in meeting grant requirements, and help develop a public-facing government data dashboard.

Ideal candidates have data visualization experience and strong analytical skills for client-facing work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with environmental or sustainability-related data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools preferred.
• Experience with data visualization software, such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency improvements, water conservation measures, and greenhouse gas emissions inventories.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including experience drafting technical reports and presenting findings.
• Experience working with and managing large, complex datasets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• Ability to take initiative, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review clean energy grant applications for eligibility and completeness.
• Process payment requests and interface with applicants throughout the grant process.
• Identify and categorize potential application errors and communicate them to applicants and clients.
• Help develop and maintain a public-facing government data dashboard.
• Analyze, collect, and organize data to support greenhouse gas, energy, and water reduction projects, benchmarking, and reporting.
• Research and develop briefing materials on sustainability topics, including decarbonization and building and fleet electrification.
• Provide additional data analysis and technical communications support on environmental, sustainability, and public health topics.
