Job summary

ERG seeks an early-career professional to join our Environmental and Occupational Health Group in Boston. You will support environmental and sustainability projects, manage grant data, and interface with applicants.

You’ll develop dashboards, analyze datasets, and contribute to decarbonization research. The role emphasizes independent work within a collaborative team, with emphasis on data visualization, reporting, and client-focused services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with environmental or sustainability-related data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools preferred.
• Experience with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense).
• Familiarity with energy efficiency, water conservation, and greenhouse gas inventories.
• Strong analytical, communications, and technical reporting skills.
• Experience managing large, complex datasets.

Responsibilities

• Review clean energy grant applications for eligibility and completeness.
• Process payment requests and interface with applicants throughout the grant process.
• Identify and categorize potential application errors and communicate them to applicants and clients.
• Help develop and maintain a public-facing government data dashboard.
• Analyze, collect, and organize data to support sustainability projects and reporting.
• Research briefing materials on sustainability topics, including decarbonization and electrification.
• Provide data analysis and technical communications support on environmental topics.
