You will oversee programs for facilities, pipelines, and related operations, coordinate with regulators and internal teams, and drive improvements in air, water, and waste compliance.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of environmental experience in oil & gas, upstream/midstream.
  • Strong knowledge of EPA/state permitting and regulations.
  • Experience with environmental reporting and compliance management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee environmental compliance programs for facilities and pipelines.
  • Lead environmental permitting and regulatory reporting activities.

CapturePoint LLC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Coordinator to lead environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory programs across our oil and gas operations. The Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, with a primary focus on operations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. This position will be in the office at the company’s headquarters in Allen, TX and report to the Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE). Key responsibilities for this position include:

To thrive/succeed as the Environmental Coordinator you should have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of environmental experience in the oil and gas industry, with expertise supporting upstream, midstream, and/or carbon capture operations.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, including EPA and state requirements, SPCC, waste management, water permitting, and incident reporting.
  • Proficiency with EHS and compliance management systems, with demonstrated ability to manage corrective actions, multiple projects, deadlines, and regulatory obligations.
  • Knowledge of GHG reporting and sustainability requirements, including EPA Subparts W, RR, UU, and VV.
Your responsibilities as the Environmental Coordinator will include:
  • Manage and oversee environmental compliance programs for oil and gas facilities, compression stations, pipelines, and related operations.
  • Lead environmental permitting and regulatory reporting, including permit applications, modifications, renewals, and required submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations, including requirements administered by TCEQ, ODEQ, ADEE, and EPA.
  • Monitor air, water, waste, spill prevention, and emissions compliance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions and improvements.
  • Serve as the primary environmental liaison with regulatory agencies, external stakeholders, and internal operational teams.
  • Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, best management practices, and training to support regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Track compliance obligations using EHS management systems, including permits, inspections, records, regulatory requirements, investigations, and corrective actions.
