Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA, and Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced R&D S&E Mechanical Engineer to lead environmental control product realization within the PRT. You will design, test, and document for production readiness, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and production partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience and an active DOE Q clearance. On-site work is required with travel up to 25% to support mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
• Five years of directly relevant engineering or scientific experience
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop designs to production-ready state through design-build-test cycles
• Support qualification tests and documentation for Environmental Control Product designs
• Prepare for and present at technical design reviews and programmatic meetings
• Provide product realization documentation including specifications, drawings and qualification plans
• Collaborate with production agencies to resolve producibility issues
• Interface between design and production teams to ensure project success
• Assist in integration activities with various teams and PRTs
• Ensure timely and transparent communication across teams
