Job summary

ERM seeks a Consultant, Environmental Construction to drive field execution on demolition, decontamination, and remediation projects across North America. You will transform contaminated sites into usable spaces, manage safety plans, and oversee contractors with an emphasis on regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years in environmental engineering or construction management, plus OSHA HAZWOPER, and experience planning, estimating, and reporting for complex sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• 1–3 years in environmental engineering, remediation, or construction management consulting.
• Hands-on experience supporting construction or remediation sites.
• Experience preparing work plans, managing field activities, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and protocols.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute remediation, DDD construction projects with design reviews and cost estimates.
• Prepare bid packages for remediation, construction, demolition, and decommissioning.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of contractors, inspectors, and field staff for safe work.
• Monitor progress, schedules, site activities, and identify risks for timely resolution.
• Review contractor submittals (RFIs, COs, compliance docs).
• Serve as Field Safety Officer with site Health & Safety Plans and briefings.
• Perform project management and QA across earthwork, site restoration, and remedial systems.
• Coordinate issue resolution from inspections or contract administration.
• Act as liaison between field teams and ERM Project Managers for alignment with plans.
• Support client communication and participate in business development and proposals.
