Job summary

AdvanSix in the United States seeks an Environmental Compliance Technician to support environmental programs by conducting inspections, managing waste activities, collecting data, sampling, and maintaining records. You will assist with regulatory reporting and audits at our Philadelphia-area site.

The role requires an associate degree in a relevant field, at least two years of experience, proficiency with MS Office, and knowledge of environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, manufacturing, industrial operations, or related fields.
• Experience generating routine regulatory reporting for air, waste, and water.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine environmental inspections of manufacturing, storage, and waste areas and related reporting.
• Assist with environmental audits, agency inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Coordinate waste characterization, profiling, labeling, storage, and disposal activities.
• Conduct sampling for stormwater, fenceline monitoring, and waste characterization.
• Maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment.
• Assist in preparing regulatory reports and permit submissions.
• Track environmental performance metrics and support sustainability reporting.
• Provide environmental compliance training to site personnel.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and HSE to improve performance.
