Job summary

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources seeks an Environmental Compliance Specialist in Manchester, IA. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college/university with a Bachelor's Degree in a natural science.
• Or an equivalent combination of experience and education substituting one year of full-time professional work for each year of education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of regulated facilities across multiple sectors.
• Prepare investigation reports and communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Travel frequently and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Apply state environmental regulations and use GIS/data interpretation in analyses.
• Assist facilities to achieve compliance with environmental regulations.
