Job summary

JoCo in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to guide regulatory and permit obligations throughout the lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects—from development and construction through commissioning and operational transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of broad environmental experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal capabilities with a consistent commitment to workplace safety.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard PC applications.
• Preferred experience designing and executing environmental compliance programs for large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Preferred knowledge of permit tracking, contractor compliance, regulatory agency coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance efforts for high-risk or complex projects, including regulatory agency interactions, audits, incident management, and operational transitions.
• Monitor contractor performance and help ensure environmental obligations are fulfilled throughout project execution.
