Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance monitoring.
• Experience with technical recordkeeping and regulatory reporting.
• Strong communication and collaboration with City staff, public agencies, vendors and the public.
• Proficiency with Field Maps, GIS, Excel, and compliance databases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly inspections of hazardous waste accumulation areas to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor disposal of hazardous waste generated at City facilities and properties.
• Maintain hazardous waste documentation, including manifests, records, and regulatory entries.
• Perform monthly Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure inspections for storage tank facilities.
• Coordinate Underground Storage Tank compliance activities including inspections and contractor scheduling.
• Update compliance information in systems such as CERS, tracking spreadsheets, binders, and City databases.
• Support annual Hazardous Materials Business Plan updates, including site map and inventory verification.
• Perform On Land Visual Trash Assessments to support stormwater permit compliance.
• Track air emissions permit information for facility generators and coordinate reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, compliance activities, deadlines, and reporting.
