Mesa County Solid Waste Management Division seeks a qualified manager to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across the Solid Waste Campus. The role includes maintaining plans, supervising environmental sampling, and coordinating with regulators.

The position oversees contracts, maintains records, and supports public education and tours for residents and regulatory entities. It requires a BS in a relevant field and several years of related experience.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science degree in environmental studies, biology, geology, chemistry, engineering, or related field.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• OHSA 40-hour HAZWOPER and EPA Method 9 certifications are desirable and can be obtained after hire.

Mansioni

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal solid waste regulations.
• Maintain regulatory compliance records and inspection documentation.
• Administer engineering consultant contracts and supervise sampling and reporting activities.
• Oversee GCCS operations, SPCC and stormwater plans, groundwater monitoring, and air permit compliance.
• Provide community outreach and public/regulatory tours.
