Job summary

YKTA is seeking an experienced EHS professional to support daily plant operations in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental areas. You will conduct field inspections, design training, prepare detailed reports, and analyze test samples to ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations in a stamping/welding/Ecoat environment.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Industrial Safety or related field, 5+ years of manufacturing experience, and CSP eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Industrial Safety or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years industrial or manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of US environmental, health and safety regulations.
• CSP certification, or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Ergonomics, Fire Science, Industrial Hygiene experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.
• Oversee field examinations and report hazardous locations and materials.
• Maintain management information systems that identify hazardous sites, chemical inventories, and complaint investigations.
• Develop and recommend solutions to eliminate pollution and environmental hazards.
• Design and implement effective employee training programs.
• Collect and analyze test samples of soil, water, and air.
• Prepare clear and detailed written reports about field inspections.
• Lead workplace HSSE culture strategies and actions by ensuring safety of self and others.
• Conduct hazard prevention analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate a Safety Committee with regular site walk-throughs.
