Job summary

Clēnera is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee environmental programs, permits, and risk management across solar and storage projects from pre-construction through operations. You will coordinate planning, strategies, and stakeholder relations to ensure full regulatory compliance.

The role requires guiding construction environmental teams, developing budgets and scopes, and providing recommendations to executives to support portfolio growth and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental planning, biology, ecology, natural resources, geography, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in renewable energy environmental permitting, compliance, or environmental consulting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn company-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental planning, permitting strategy, and risk management across a portfolio of projects to ensure constructable and compliant work.
• Support pre-construction with development teams to align environmental workstreams with schedules and portfolio growth targets.
• Assist with environmental permitting strategies to optimize project timelines and reduce pre-construction risk.
• Provide leadership to internal and external environmental teams during construction and operations.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and scopes of work for environmental programs and expenditures.
