Job summary

Environmental Compliance Coordinator role in Northern Virginia supports Electric Distribution sites across Alexandria, Fairfax, Fredericksburg, Herndon, Leesburg, Springfield and Woodbridge. You will help ensure regulatory and company EH&S standards are met on site and in reports to agencies and customers.

The position requires VA DEQ E&S or Stormwater certifications and a 4-year environmental degree, with utility experience preferred. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Qualifications

• Must have environmental field experience and relevant regulatory knowledge.
• Erosion & Sediment Control and Stormwater certifications required.
• Experience with environmental regulations for permits and scope.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management and permit regulations at multiple Northern Virginia locations.
• Prepare and submit internal and external reports to agencies and customers.
• Inspect sites, provide recommendations, and train staff on environmental topics and waste handling.
