Environmental Compliance Coordinator – Nuclear Power Stations (Surry & North Anna)

Insight Global is seeking a VDEQ-certified Environmental Compliance Coordinator to assist in inspection of VA Surry and North Anna sites with a major power distributor client.

Base pay: $45.00/hr – $50.00/hr
Contract with opportunity to apply full time!

Schedule: 4/10 shifts or 'nuclear 9's'

Responsibilities

• Ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations for Nuclear Power Stations.
• Share responsibility for safe and efficient operation of work sites, complying with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures.
• Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers.
• Support the client's employees and other contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues.
• Provide environmental training to site personnel on handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and other environmental compliance topics and requirements.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector.
• Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Stormwater Management Inspector.
• VDEQ certification required.
