L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety specialist in Orange, VA to support environmental compliance, permitting, and operational readiness for manufacturing and facility development projects.

The role collaborates with EHS&S, engineering, facilities, construction, program teams, consultants, and regulators to ensure projects meet federal, state, and local environmental requirements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related field with 4+ years of related experience.
• Graduate degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Support environmental permitting and compliance activities for construction, infrastructure, and facility projects.
• Coordinate development, review, and submittal of environmental permit applications, plans, and supporting documentation.
• Support stormwater management and land disturbance permitting, including review of civil design packages and coordination with regulators.
• Interface with Virginia DEQ, local authorities, and other project stakeholders regarding permit requirements, reviews, and approvals.
• Assist with environmental review of new building and site development projects to identify regulatory impacts early in design.
• Track permitting milestones, agency comments, approval conditions, and compliance commitments.
• Support implementation of environmental requirements during project construction and startup.
• Review contractor and consultant deliverables for technical adequacy and compliance alignment.
• Assist in interpretation and application of environmental regulations, permit conditions, and internal standards.
• Conduct site inspections and field assessments as needed.
• Support environmental programs including stormwater, erosion and sediment control, hazardous waste, air permitting/compliance, wastewater, SPCC, chemical management.
