Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking an Environmental Coordinator for its Eugene, Oregon division. You will lead site environmental programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local and company requirements, and translate permits into actionable site actions.

You will manage air, water, and hazardous materials permits, coordinate monitoring and reporting, and drive corrective actions to closure while supporting training and readiness across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• 4 years of environmental/industrial experience.
• Knowledge of air and/or water permitting and compliance programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead site environmental programs ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Interpret permits and regulations and translate requirements into actionable site actions.
• Maintain and manage air, water, and hazardous materials permits, including data collection and reporting.
• Collaborate with regulatory inspections and agency interactions.
• Identify compliance risks and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Conduct audits of site programs to verify compliance and effectiveness.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring and recordkeeping systems.
• Support development and execution of environmental improvement projects.
• Ensure environmental training is scheduled, conducted, and documented.
• Maintain emergency response readiness and assist incident response as needed.
• Supervise crews or contractors supporting environmental work.
• Share best practices with Environmental Coordinators across divisions.
