Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking an Environmental Engineer for a specialty chemical facility near Eugene, Oregon. The role focuses on maintaining environmental compliance across air, wastewater, waste, stormwater, and reporting programs while supporting safe operations.

You will work with operations and leadership to drive performance improvements and expand regulatory exposure in a complex manufacturing setting. A strong background in environmental compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or similarly regulated settings.
• Strong knowledge of air permitting and wastewater programs.
• Experience with hazardous waste, stormwater, SPCC and EPCRA reporting.
• Ability to analyze data and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support environmental compliance programs per federal, state, and local regulations and permit requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on compliance obligations, permitting requirements, and regulatory changes to operations and leadership.
• Evaluate projects and process changes to identify environmental impacts and permitting needs.
• Prepare and support environmental reporting activities (emissions, wastewater, hazardous materials) with accurate records.
• Participate in audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement to enhance environmental performance.
