Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a mid-level Environmental Inspector II to provide technical support on a variety of projects within our Environmental Services team.

You will perform ESC, SWPPP, and VWP inspections, manage permitting tasks, and coordinate with agencies to ensure compliance and timely delivery. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with VPDES/SWPPP, permitting, and environmental compliance.
• VA DEQ ESC/SWM Inspector certification preferred.
• Familiarity with VSMP, ESCCC, MS4 and C-107 processes.
• Strong writing, communication, and regulatory interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform ESC, SWPPP and VWP inspections for projects.
• Manage VPDES/VWP projects and support staff for compliance.
• Coordinate with client representatives and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare permit applications and accompanying documentation.
• Assist in creating technical regulatory submissions and summaries.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and safe project execution.
• Contribute to team and independent project work.
