Job summary

The City of Aurora, Colorado, seeks a Water Environmental Inspection Supervisor to oversee wastewater and stormwater inspections and ensure regulatory compliance. You will supervise field staff and coordinate with public health and environmental agencies.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field, 6+ years in wastewater/stormwater compliance, and licenses including HAZWOPER, NIMS 100/700, and Colorado Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Construction Management, Hydrology, Geology, Biology or closely related field.
• At least 6 years progressively responsible experience in wastewater pretreatment, stormwater conveyance systems and related compliance.
• Colorado Driver's License with good driving history; HazWoper 40-Hour; NIMS 100 and NIMS 700 training.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates and monitors city wide compliance in environmental inspection and related regulations.
• Prepares reports and correspondence for City, State and Federal agencies.
• Supervises field inspectors and provides technical support to management.
• Develops and conducts public outreach and educational activities on City programs.
• Responds to hazardous and non-hazardous material spills and incidents.
