Job summary

Airswift is seeking an Environmental Engineer for our major client in the Los Angeles area. The role focuses on developing and ensuring compliance with air quality, stormwater, and waste management programs, with emphasis on health and safety regulations.

You will advise clients on regulatory requirements, address notices of violations, manage multiple projects, and build strong relationships with regulators, clients, and subcontractors. PE is a plus though not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in air quality compliance, stormwater permitting, waste management, or environmental health and safety consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive and accurate Compliance Plans, Permits, and reports related to environmental regulations, including Air Quality, Hazardous Waste, Spill Prevention, Stormwater, Wastewater, and Health and safety.
• Provide regulatory guidance and interpretation to clients; investigate and address notices of violations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with budget, timeline, and quality control.
• Foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities, clients, and subcontractors.
