Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Vineland, NJ seeks an Environmental Engineer to own environmental compliance for the facility, overseeing regulatory requirements, permit management, and risk reduction. Health and safety support may be provided as needed.

You will lead ISO 14001 related activities, manage Title V and NJPDES permits, and coordinate with operations, engineering, and regulators to advance environmental objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent related experience).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in environmental health and safety engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (air, water, hazardous waste; federal/state/local).

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's environmental management system, ISO 14001 processes, and documentation.
• Oversee environmental compliance activities: monitoring, inspections, testing, recordkeeping, reporting.
• Manage permits and programs: Title V, NJPDES, stormwater, hazardous waste, SPCC, EPCRA/Tier II/TRI.
• Support hazardous waste compliance for a Large Quantity Generator site; inspections, training, vendor coordination.
• Provide environmental guidance and training to employees, leaders, and contractors.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and proactive risk reduction.
• Represent site during regulatory inspections and audits; coordinate corrective actions.
