Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Compliance/Air to join the Vandenberg site team in California. You’ll help run environmental programs for Falcon launch and processing, review designs, and support regulatory compliance across EPA, RCRA, DOT, and local agencies.

The role requires a strong background in environmental and safety disciplines, with collaboration across engineering teams and field contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 3+ years operating or building environmental compliance programs in industrial or aerospace settings.
• Experience with environmental data interpretation and regulatory application.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve environmental programs at SpaceX's Vandenberg, CA location.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT, CUPA, RWQCB, SBCAPCD and other regulations.
• Prepare Tier II and TRI filings; archive calculations and submission packages.
• Maintain HMMP/HMBP inventories and CUPA records; coordinate with contractors.
