Job summary

Safety Management Group is seeking a local Environmental Advisor in Lebanon, IN to implement environmental compliance programs, permits, and policies across their region, plant and projects. The role includes managing waste streams, documentation, and permit compliance as part of a broader safety program.

The position requires at least five years of environmental experience, a degree in Environmental Science or related field, and strong planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of environmental experience.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support wastewater and hazardous waste tracking and management for the client.
• Develop procedures to track and manage various waste streams.
• Identify and coordinate with key participants in applicable departments.
• Develop and maintain an electronic file management system.
• Coordinate with disposal companies for proper cradle-to-grave documentation.
• Conduct assessments to ensure permit compliance.
