Job summary

Safety Management Group, LLC seeks an Environmental Advisor for our Lebanon, IN location. The role coordinates environmental compliance programs, permits, and corporate policies within the region and project scope.

You will support wastewater and hazardous waste tracking and help establish electronic file management while ensuring cradle-to-grave documentation. Minimum five years’ environmental experience is required along with a Bachelor’s/Associate degree in Environmental Science or related

SMG is seeking a local Environmental Advisor in Lebanon, IN.

The Environmental Advisor is responsible for coordinating the implementation of environmental compliance programs, permit requirements, corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic environmental goals within their assigned region, plant, and project scope.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Overview of Job Responsibilities

• Support the client with wastewater and hazardous waste tracking and management.
• Develop procedures and processes to track and manage various waste streams.
• Identify and coordinate with key participants in applicable departments.
• Develop and maintain an electronic file management system.
• Coordinate with the disposal company to ensure proper disposal and “cradle to grave” documentation.
• Conduct assessments to ensure permit compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of environmental experience
• A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field is required
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance
• Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative
