Job summary

Stantec is seeking a civil engineer to contribute to design documentation, sketches, and 3D models for diverse projects in the western US. The role involves coordination with multiple disciplines and contract administration tasks on design development and project delivery.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 5–10 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office. Field work may occur; locations include multiple western states with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 5 - 10 years of experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans and reports for relevant project design elements.
• Assists in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems.
• Prepares and revises documentation in various project phases.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
• Assists in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports, and performs contract administration tasks.
• Assists with the development of job specific discipline specifications.
• Assists in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials.
• Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Participates in value engineering and cost estimating.
• Implements sustainable design principles.
