Job summary

Atlas is seeking a mid-level Environmental Civil Engineer (EIR Environmental Engineer 3) to support land development and site civil projects in the Pittsburgh area. You will perform grading, H&H analyses, and stormwater design under supervision, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD, with opportunity to work on diverse public and private projects.

Primary responsibilities include developing civil design drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting permitting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 5-7 years of site civil/land development experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading & surfaces).
• Experience with H&H analyses for stormwater design.
• Knowledge of HydroCAD or similar software.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• EIT certification or PE license (or progress toward licensure).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil and land development design tasks for various projects.
• Prepare grading plans and stormwater facilities.
• Conduct H&H analyses for stormwater design and permitting.
• Use HydroCAD and similar tools for runoff calculations.
• Develop Civil 3D surfaces, grading features, and plan sheets.
• Assist with engineering reports, calculations, and documentation.
• Support permitting by preparing submittals and responses.
• Participate in site visits and coordinate with teams.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and proposals.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet schedules and quality standards.
