Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking an Associate Chemist to prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical methods in a lab setting. The role may involve standing for long periods and working with organic solvents and lab glassware.

The position emphasizes HRMS sample preparation with focus on multiple disciplines, including GC and MS analyses, and requires strong English proficiency, proper work authorization in the United States, and the ability to work 2nd shift

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Chemistry or related field, Associate Degree, or 2 years of related laboratory experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lab tasks to gain experience with methods, practices, and programs.
• Preparation of samples using standard techniques
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
• Evaluation and quantification of data
• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Performing routine instrument maintenance
• Understands and utilizes backlog reports to manage personal workload
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Responsible for general housekeeping in work area
• Proficient with IDOCs, for assigned methods carried out in the department
• Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment health and safety and quality assurance standards
