Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Biological Science Technician (Contingency) to provide technical support for environmental, biological, and occupational health programs at a military installation and industrial facility.

You will collect and analyze data, support compliance, and assist in regulatory reporting to ensure mission readiness. Under TACOM (RRAD) contract, the role requires collaboration with engineers, safety personnel, and operations to uphold safety standards and DoD environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental, biological, or natural resource management principles.
• Experience collecting and documenting environmental or scientific data with accuracy.
• Understanding of environmental regulations and standards related to air/water quality and hazardous materials.
• Ability to perform field investigations and facility inspections in industrial settings.
• Skill in operating environmental monitoring, sampling, and testing equipment.
• Ability to analyze information and recommend corrective actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental, biological, and facility inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Collect, document, and manage environmental and biological samples and data.
• Assist with monitoring, site assessments, and reporting for compliance.
• Maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare technical records, permits, and reports on environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with environmental professionals, engineers, safety staff, and operations.
• Support sustainability efforts and recommend program improvements.
