Job summary

SPL is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our environmental laboratory in Round Rock, TX. You will perform EPA-method analyses on environmental and QC samples, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or environmental science and 2+ years of regulated-lab experience, with hands-on work on ICP-MS, GC-MS, GC, HPLC, IC, and LIMS. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional analytical laboratory experience in a regulated environment.
• Hands-on experience operating, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation (ICP-MS, GC-MS, GC, HPLC, IC).
• Working knowledge of QA/QC, data review, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LIMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis on environmental and quality control samples using EPA methods and lab procedures.
• Prepare, digest, and process samples using approved methods and SOPs.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation.
• Review, interpret, validate, and document analytical data within LIMS.
• Perform QA/QC checks and investigate instrument drift or sample anomalies.
