Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a trainee analyst in the Bureau of Construction, Payment & Administration’s Payment Section. This entry-level role provides on-the-job training in analytic practices, prepares reports, and learns to review financial data and grant-related documents.

The position supports review and approval of NJ Water Bank loan requisitions, prepares exhibits, collects data for the Clean Watersheds Needs Survey, and helps manage the Water Bank TA

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of professional experience relevant to the position.
• OR Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve NJ Water Bank loan requisitions in accordance with applicable costs provisions.
• Prepare NJ Water Bank loan exhibits and collect data for the Clean Watersheds Needs Survey.
• Assist in preparing the state's annual federal Clean Water SRF capitalization grant and Intended Use Plan.
• Serve as project/grant manager in Water Bank TA program for DACs and related planning/design grants.
