State of New Jersey's Department of Environmental Protection is recruiting a trainee analyst for the Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment and related divisions in Trenton. The role provides on-the-job training in analytic practices, data review, and report preparation under supervision.

A bachelor’s degree or four years of professional analytical experience are acceptable qualifications; Microsoft Excel/Word and Adobe are preferred, with strong organizational and reading skills required.

Qualifications

• Requires analytical, evaluative, and interpretive skills.
• Must review and interpret state contracts, procurement, and financial data.
• Strong ability to collect and compile data for analytic studies.

Responsibilities

• Learn to review and analyze financial reports and prepare reports.
• Assist in scheduling, reviewing, evaluating, and awarding procurement contracts.
• Gain exposure to operational audits, workflow analyses, and information systems.
