Job summary
Onterris in Durham, NC is seeking an Analyst I to support multiple projects with our multi-disciplinary team and clients. You will perform quantitative sample analysis by Gas Chromatography, prepare data summaries, and help maintain records and equipment, contributing to QA/QC and project timelines.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field, 1–2 years GC experience, and familiarity with ChemStation and FTIR analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years GC experience preferred.
- Experience with ChemStation software.
- Experience in FTIR analysis.
- Must be able to routinely meet QA/QC requirements for the assays performed without supervision.
- Documentation, timeliness and throughput must meet lab standards.
Responsibilities
- Quantitative sample analysis by Gas Chromatography with various detectors.
- Prepare data summaries for client reports.
- Sample and standard preparation and instrument calibration.
- Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; keep organized records.
- Method development for analytical optimization and client sampling.
- Communicate relevant updates to applicable people in a timely manner.
- Comply with QA/QC, Health and Safety plans and company policies.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
