Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Environmental & Natural Resources Attorney in Syracuse, NY. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals on diverse environmental matters across the Northeast.

Duties

• Manage project permitting and siting, including NEPA and SEQRA processes.
• Conduct transactional due diligence and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Handle enforcement matters related to environmental statutes.
• Interface with resource agencies such as USEPA, USACE, USFWS, and NYSDEC.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar.
• Four to eight years of experience in environmental law.
• Expertise in Superfund/CERCLA, CWA, CAA, ESA, MBTA, and NewYorkStateEnvironmental Conservation Law.
• Experience in the energy industry and with wildlife and rare, threatened, and endangered species is a plus.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications
