A law firm seeks an experienced Environmental & Natural Resources Attorney in Buffalo, NY. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals on diverse environmental matters across the Northeast.
Manage project permitting and siting, including NEPA and SEQRA processes. Conduct transactional due diligence and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Handle enforcement matters related to environmental statutes. Interface with resource agencies such as USEPA, USACE, USFWS, and NYSDEC.
Licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar. Four to eight years of experience in environmental law. Expertise in Superfund/CERCLA, CWA, CAA, ESA, MBTA, and New York State Environmental Conservation Law. Experience in the energy industry and with wildlife and rare, threatened, and endangered species is a plus.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Admission to the New York State Bar.
