Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to help maintain clean and safe hospital units, patient rooms, and offices. You will follow established procedures, disinfect surfaces, and operate basic cleaning equipment to support a healthy care environment.

Weekend and holiday availability is required. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are preferred; background screening will be conducted as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts.
• Basic ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and service hospital units, patient rooms, and offices.
• Operate electrical and battery-powered cleaning equipment as needed.

• Prefer successful L2 Background screening.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience in housekeeping, linen or environmental services.
