Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an Environmental Aide II for its Akron City Campus. This part-time role (24 hours, 1st shift) involves cleaning across hospital and office spaces using standard and specialized methods to maintain a safe, patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates will follow directions, work well in a team, show initiative, and handle exposure to cleaning chemicals and routine hazards. The position offers competitive pay and benefits within Summa Health's culture of service.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.

$16.60/hr - $19.92/hr

Summary: Performs a wide variety of specialized and routine cleaning functions throughout the hospital and the professional office building, including functions requiring specialized machines and techniques.

Formal Education Required: Ability to understand and follow directions.

Level of Physical Demands:

• Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time, and on feet during entire shift performing medium to heavy moving to include frequent pushing, pulling of loaded carts, furniture, and lifting of patients, cleaning equipment, and materials.
