We develop, construct, and operate RNG, landfill-gas-to-electric, and dairy digester facilities, operating around 50 sites across 32 states with a robust development pipeline.

About the role

We are recruiting an Environmental Advisor responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations such as the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, RCRA, and EPCRA. Key duties include monitoring, recordkeeping, reporting, environmental management, data review, emission inventory calculations, waste stream management, site risk assessments, and incident investigations.

This role requires up to 25% travel for site visits and team workshops. The Environmental Advisor will support compliance performance, communicate regulatory requirements, respond to queries, and host compliance meetings.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage compliance data, maintain critical devices, and review laboratory and stack test results.
  • Conduct environmental audits, analyze results, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop SOPs, alerts, and policies for environmental risk management.
  • Utilize the Environmental Management System (EHS Insight) for incident management and reporting.
  • Lead investigations, prepare reports, and oversee corrective actions.
  • Participate in change management reviews for operations and facilities.
  • Assist with waste management programs, including labeling, transportation, and emergency planning.
  • Support wastewater operations and ensure compliance records are maintained.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives such as waste minimization, energy, water, and wastewater reduction.
  • Train site personnel on environmental compliance and track re-training needs.
  • Advise management on environmental issues, analyze data, and prepare reports.
  • Stay current with environmental regulations through professional development.

Essential education

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Essential experience

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant environmental experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
