Job summary

Kaidi LLC is hiring an Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to support our Grand Haven, MI manufacturing facility. You will develop and implement EH&S policies, conduct risk assessments, investigations, and training to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with operations, quality, and leadership to promote safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EH&S, Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial environments
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards and EHS best practices
• Strong communication skills engaging all workforce levels
• Proactive, multi‑project management
• Experience with Microsoft Office and EHS software

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements
• Conduct safety audits, JHAs, and routine inspections
• Investigate incidents and lead root-cause analysis
• Deliver safety training and onboarding for all employees
• Maintain EHS documentation (SDS, OSHA 300 logs, permits)
• Collaborate on safety improvements and project planning
• Support EHS audits and ISO certifications
• Track and report EHS metrics to drive improvements
• Support operations in two states with occasional travel

We are seeking a proactive and hands‑on Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will support all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs across our manufacturing operations, helping to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a strong culture of safety.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving EH&S policies, procedures, and training programs. This includes conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, managing regulatory reporting requirements, coordinating safety audits, and driving corrective actions to reduce workplace hazards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
• Conduct safety audits, job hazard analyses, and routine inspections
• Investigate incidents and lead root cause analysis and follow‑up actions
• Deliver safety training and onboarding for all employees
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation (SDS, OSHA 300 logs, permits, etc.)
• Collaborate with teams on safety improvements and project planning
• Champion environmental initiatives-waste reduction, energy savings, and pollution prevention
• Support internal and external EHS audits and ISO certifications
• Track and report EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and reduce injury rates
• Support operations in two states with occasional travel
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Produce safe‑work instructions and training materials for shop floor use
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EH&S, Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards and EHS best practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of the workforce
• Self‑directed individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and EHS software systems
• Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at various organizational levels internally and externally
• Self‑directed individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications like CSP, ASP, or CHMM are a big plus
• Experience with Laser Cutting, Powder Coating, and Finishing
• Steel furniture manufacturing experience

Working Environment

• On‑site role in a production facility - daily presence on the shop floor required
• Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facilities and perform the above‑mentioned essential duties
