Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior EHS Manager to lead the environmental, health, and safety programs. This role will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, drive a proactive safety culture, and lead 6S and continuous improvement in EHS performance across all departments. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep EHS expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Lead the facility's safety culture transformation by proactively identifying risks and promoting accountability.
- Monitor compliance with environmental permits (air, water, waste) and manage reporting to regulatory agencies.
- Prepare training and maintain records.
- Conduct root cause analyses for incidents and near misses; implement corrective and preventive actions with follow-up.
- Oversee emergency preparedness plans and lead EHS training across all levels of staff.
- Partner with leadership, operations, and engineering teams to integrate EHS into business processes.
- Prepare or oversee submission of timely reports (e.g., OSHA 300 logs, Tier II, TRI, Stormwater).
- Manage audits, inspections, and interactions with regulatory bodies.
- Lead EHS initiatives for sustainability and corporate responsibility as applicable.
Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree in Business or Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (bachelor's preferred).
- 5+ years of EHS experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Iowa-specific regulations.
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or PE are highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Environmental skills.

Work Environment:
- On-site at facility.
- Will include travel to other local facilities.
