Job description

Company Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Manager of Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), and Sustainability to lead our initiatives and drive continuous improvement in these critical areas for the North Americas.

Position Summary:

As the Senior Manager of EHS & Sustainability, North Americas, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the EHS department, including compliance with all applicable EHS&S requirements and the development and implementation of related programs. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization.

The role will report into VP HR and Sustainability and can be based out of one of your two manufacturing sites. One of the manufacturing sites is located in Lafayette, Colorado, and the second site is located in Redmond, Washington.

Key Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement EHS&S related programs, plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and security requirements (state, local, federal, and company).
  • Conduct effective training for all employees, contractors, and visitors, and document all training per company policies.
  • Conduct EHS&S audits, workplace inspections, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Serve as the principal EHS&S contact during facility audits, including self-audits.
  • Conduct accident investigations and administer the Worker's Compensation program with assistance from HR.
  • Execute on sustainability strategies aligned with company goals.

Company Requirements:

  • Safety-related certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, Hazmat, and SDS required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to adhere to strict confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to recognize audible and visual hazards.
  • Must follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in the performance of job duties.
  • Perform other projects/ duties as assigned.

Work Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Health, Safety and/or Sustainability.
  • Minimum of four years'Experience in Manufacturing environments (e.g. Pharmaceutical, OTC, Dietary Supplements, or similar industries).
