The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator is an integral part of our EH&S team based in Sarasota, FL.

Compensation range: $75,000 - $85,000.

The Coordinator will develop and implement policies to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally sustainable workplace, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities for safety, health, and environmental risks.
• Develop and implement inspection policies and schedules.
• Create health and safety procedures for all areas.
• Schedule and conduct training on emergency procedures and safety topics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FLDEP, NFPA, and local requirements.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping, including OSHA 300A, Incident Rate, and DART Rate.
• Manage GHS Hazardous Communication Program for Safety Data Sheets and Labeling.
• Participate in EH&S Council team activities.
• Conduct monthly safety inspections and emergency drills.
• Perform OSHA required training and other duties as assigned.

Skills required include advanced organizational skills, effective communication, problem-solving, data analysis, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 10 years managing an EHS program.
• Supervisory experience with coaching, mentoring, and training abilities.
• Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and best practices.
• OSHA Outreach Trainer for 501 - General Industry preferred.

Physical Requirements

Walking, talking, and standing frequently; designated as a "Safety Sensitive Position".
