The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator is a key member of our EHS team based in Sarasota, FL.

Compensation for this role ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually.

Position Details

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator will develop and implement policies to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally sustainable workplace, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develop and implement inspection policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Create health and safety procedures for all areas of the facility.
  • Plan and schedule training on emergency procedures and workplace safety.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FLDEP, NFPA, and local requirements.
  • Maintain OSHA injury and illness records, including OSHA 300A, Incident Rate, and DART Rate.
  • Manage GHS Hazardous Communication Program for Safety Data Sheets and Labeling.
  • Participate in the EH&S Council Team.
  • Conduct monthly safety inspections and forklift training.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and required trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; or 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 10 years managing an EHS program.
  • Supervisory experience with coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • OSHA Outreach Trainer for 501 - General Industry preferred.
Physical Requirements

Frequent walking, talking, hearing, and standing are required. This position is designated as a "Safety Sensitive Position".
