Job summary

McGard LLC is seeking an Environmental Control Technician in Orchard Park, NY for 2nd shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM, Mon–Fri). Training on 1st shift is available. The role focuses on operating and maintaining industrial water treatment systems, with emphasis on safety and handling hazardous materials.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, English communication skills, and at least 1 year of experience. A 24-hour HazMat technician training must be completed within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum one (1) year experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete a 24-hour HAZMAT technician training within 60 days that includes hazardous waste operation and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial water treatment equipment.
• Demonstrates the ability to properly operate equipment such as plating process filtration, auxiliary filtration, ion exchange equipment, etc.
• Is a Hazardous Materials Response Team Member.
• Operator is required to work with hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
