Meridell Achievement Center, a 134-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility northwest of Austin, seeks a dedicated housekeeper to maintain clean, safe environments across units, school and office areas.

Responsibilities include routine and deep cleaning, linen distribution, preparing patient rooms, and stocking cleaning supplies, with emphasis on infection control and respectful interaction with staff and patients in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related work experience preferred.
• Current, valid Driver’s License.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Possess the knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and general cleaning skills.
• Must possess the ability and willingness to work professionally with other personnel, patients, family members and guests.

• Provides the collection and distribution of patients’ linens to assigned units.
• Prepares patients rooms for admission and then again after discharge by following appropriate infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60-acre campus is complete with mature oaks, rolling hills, and plenty of walking paths and outdoor spaces. We have 7 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development needs, a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court and playing fields. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

Position Summary:
