Job summary

Meridell Achievement Center in Texas is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate to maintain a healthy and safe environment for residents. You will clean and maintain assigned units, school and office areas, and ensure infection control practices are followed.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, collecting and distributing linens, and preparing patient rooms for admission and discharge while supporting the facility's standards for cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related work experience preferred.
• Current, valid Driver’s License.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and general cleaning skills.

• Clean and maintain assigned units, school and office areas and equipment through routine and deep cleaning.
• Collect and distribute patients' linens to assigned units.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and discharge following infection control procedures.

Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60-acre campus is complete with mature oaks, rolling hills, and plenty of walking paths and outdoor spaces. We have 7 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development needs, a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court and playing fields. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

Position Summary: Assures a healthy and safe environment through routine and deep cleaning. Cleans and maintains assigned units, school, and office areas/equipment.

Job Duties:

• Cleaning and maintain assigned units, school and office areas and equipment by routine and deep cleaning.
• Provides the collection and distribution of patients’ linens to assigned units.
• Prepares patients rooms for admission and then again after discharge by following appropriate infection control procedures.
• Provides cleaning products and materials to all buildings, replenishing stock routinely.
