Job summary

Runk & Pratt Health Care Ent in Lynchburg, VA is seeking entry-level event staff for shifts at Bella Vista Hotel. You will assist with setup, greet guests, serve food and beverages, and keep the dining area orderly.

Qualifications

• Previous waitstaff or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work calmly in a busy event environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation to events.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and service stations.
• Greet guests and provide courteous, professional service throughout the event.
• Serve food and beverages according to event guidelines and service standards.
• Clear plates, glasses, and other items from guest tables promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas.
• Assist with buffet service, passed hors d'oeuvres, plated meals, and dessert service as needed.
• Refill water, beverages, and other table items.
• Communicate professionally with the event manager, kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members.
• Respond to guest requests and questions in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Assist with event cleanup and breakdown at the conclusion of the event.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each event.
