Job Description

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES), an industry leader with a reputation for excellence in providing environmental consulting, engineering, compliance, and technical field services to clients in diverse market sectors, seeks an experienced Geologist or Environmental Scientist to support fieldwork and environmental remediation project activities in the Denver, CO Area.

• Performs groundwater sampling, gauging, product bailing, and surveying.
• Oversees drilling activities, including soil boring advancement and monitoring well installation.
• Collects soil, groundwater, and air samples.
• Supports treatment system operation and maintenance (OM&M) activities.
• Coordinates and oversees subcontractors.
• Records data and completes field notes for each event/site.
• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and interprets findings based on scientific experimentation and knowledge.
• Completes quarterly groundwater monitoring reports.
• Performs hydrogeological assessments to identify groundwater flow and contamination impacts.
• Conducts geological and soil delineation studies, preparing reports and geological maps.
• Participates in identifying remedial solutions compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in geology, environmental science, or related field.
• 1-4+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge/experience/certifications such as soil and groundwater sampling and 40 HR OSHA Hazwoper are a plus but not required.
• Must be detail-oriented, a team player, with good communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally (CO and nearby Midwest states), with overnights in a company truck, with expenses paid up to 50% of the time.
