Job summary

Egis Group is seeking an entry-level Roadway Engineer in Pennsylvania to join our transportation team. You will assist in designing freeways, interchanges, roadways, streets, intersections, roundabouts, and other transportation infrastructure, supporting projects from preliminary through final design.

You will perform calculations, develop plans and cost estimates, and collaborate with project teams. A B.S.

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
EIT certification preferred.
0–3 years roadway design experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MicroStation/AutoCAD; OpenRoads Designer a plus.
Experience on PennDOT or PA Turnpike projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

Apply knowledge of engineering to assist in design of freeways, interchanges, roadways and related infrastructure.
Perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates with the project team.
Communicate clearly through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchanges.
Coordinate plan reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
May conduct site investigations and other related responsibilities.
Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments.
